The Fire Horse signifies rapid change; bold, independent action; and intense, passionate energy, encouraging breakthroughs and overcoming obstacles with speed and freedom.
As our communities face unprecedented attacks from the current administration — from ICE raids, H1-B visa limits and gender-affirming care bans, to the reopening of Japanese American internment camps for immigration deportations and new attacks on Obergefell to undermine marriage equality — we’re riding the fire horse to raise money and fight back!
HRC’s Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander (AANHPI) & Proud working group is pleased to announce the return of our Lunar New Year “red envelope” fundraising campaign.
For many in our AANHPI community, the red envelope is traditionally a money gift given from elders to members of younger generations — or among friends, family and colleagues. We’re harnessing this beautiful and meaningful tradition to help us build the political strength of the entire AANHPI community.
And if you donate on a recurring monthly or annual basis — the best way to support HRC’s vital work — we’ll send you or the recipient of your gift membership a beautiful crane lapel pin as a thank-you gift.
